I used to be a huge fan of constant contact (if you don't know what constant contact is, it's an email marketing service).  Actually, I still use constant contact for some clients and it works great.  However, I'm starting to realize that Feedburner can be a great tool to market your business via email AND blog for FREE.  That's right, it doesn't cost you a dime while having most of the tools that email marketing companies include for no extra charge.

Feedburner also allows users to subscribe to your blog feed via email or RSS.  So let's say your subscriber doesn't want to get an email, they can just subscribe to your feed by adding it to their RSS reader.  I always recommend that businesses have a blog to update their customers when they have promotions, events, changes etc...  What better way to automatically send them an email everytime you update your blog?

The reporting tools are fantastic because they tell you all the statistics you need to know about your traffic and subscribers.  Feedburner also supplies tools to promote your feed and even monetize it by adding paid ads!  Just copy and paste the code for the widgets they provide and you are good to go!

However, there is one big difference between Feedburner and email marketing services that may deter established email marketing campaigns from switching over.  Currently, you cannot upload your current list of contacs into Feedburners subscriber list.  They will have to manually sign up via your website or sign up link provided by Feedburner.

If you have any questions about feedburner or want to sign up, check out their website at http://www.feedburner.com.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
